Hyaluronic acid: What it is and what it is used for

It is a precious molecule, naturally present in our body, whose lack determines the ageing of the skin

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that is naturally present in our body and is produced by fibroblasts, cells that have the objective of moisturizing tissues, giving them firmness and plasticity.
Over time the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body tends to decrease: hence the ageing of the skin with the appearance of wrinkles and the loss of elasticity of the tissues, like those of the joints.

Hyaluronic acid absorbs water, restrains it and releases it according to the needs of the organism and therefore maintains the right hydration and moisture of the tissues. Not only that: this molecule lubricates the joints and absorbs the shocks inside them.

The miraculous properties of hyaluronic acid do not end here: This substance has a protective function thanks to its lattice structure and it works as a filter against toxic substances. It also has an anti-inflammatory and healing action and repairs damaged tissues.
